HISTORY
PERU LNG was created on March 24, 2003, with the purpose of developing, constructing, and operating a liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing plant.
The infrastructure of the company includes a processing plant and related facilities, marine facilities for methane tankers, as well as a 408-km gas pipeline.
To date, PERU LNG is the largest private investment in hydrocarbons in the history of the country (USD 3.8 billion). During its construction phase, the company generated more than 20 thousand jobs and contributed 2% to GDP growth.

Feasibility studies and evaluations for the project are initiated.

Earthmoving and civil engineering works begin on land owned by PERU LNG.

In 2006, with the ESIAs approved and after an investment of more than US $265 million, the final investment decision was made to proceed. LNG plant is signed.
