Economic inclusion of Ayacucho families

A public-private partnership between FONCODES of the Ministry of Social Inclusion and PERU LNG benefits 155 families in the district of San Miguel, located in the province of La Mar, Ayacucho Region, through the implementation of the Haku Wiñay project, with the participation of the District Municipality.

This initiative expands economic opportunities for Ayacucho families, who, in addition to increasing their income through productive activities, improve their quality of life by providing their homes with healthy water and improved stoves.

The investment of 1 million 386 thousand soles has enabled the families of San Miguel to benefit from the installation of sprinkler irrigation systems, open field vegetable gardens, guinea pig and laying hen breeding modules. Likewise, 59 modules for technified sheep breeding, among others, were implemented.

This triple alliance between the communities, PERU LNG and the State has made it possible to enhance and strengthen productive capacities and rural enterprises in the towns of Cochas, Putacca, Pampanhuaylla and Allpacorral.

The development of the program increased the production of vegetables, potatoes, beans, barley and other foods with organic fertilizers. In addition, the families have more water available and are now raising guinea pigs, chickens and sheep.
