Chinchano schoolchildren trained ping-pong in Brazil with support from PERU LNG and HUNT

With the sponsorship of PERU LNG and Hunt Danna Maita Mendoza and Diego Arcos Albarán, two eleven-year-old schoolchildren from Chinchilla, went on a training tour to Brazil to practice table tennis in five high-performance clubs in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

The trip was made as part of the International Scholarship promoted as part of the Impactando Vidas program, which is being developed in six educational institutions in Chincha Alta with funding from PERU LNG.

Danna and Diego are elementary school students who attend the Francisco Corbetto Rocca and San Antonio de Padua schools, respectively; both became interested in this sporting discipline when the Impactando Vidas Program, directed by Monica Liyau, was launched in their respective schools.

Diana Mendoza, Danna's mother, said that "always when they arrived on Mondays or Fridays, my daughter was very excited getting her racquets ready to train in physical education", she also commented that it was the first time that Danna traveled to another country and that the training in Brazil has allowed her to gain new experiences.

For her part, Ana María Albarán, Diego's mother, was very excited by the importance that her son gives to the practice of this discipline: "from one moment to the next he told me mommy I'm going to practice ping-pong, a sport that was not very common, besides, in a ping-pong competition he won a bicycle".

The trip, which took place from February 9 to February 24, was made possible thanks to the contribution of PERU LNG and Hunt, companies that are committed to the development and well-being of the community of Chincha, especially the children.
