PERU LNG obtains global certification as Authorized Economic Operator – Importer

After a process of more than a year, PERU LNG obtained the certification as Authorized Economic Operator as an Importer before the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT). This global certification guarantees that the company complies with the regulations of the World Customs Organization (WCO) or the equivalent regulations in the field of security of the international trade logistics chain.

Being an Authorized Economic Operator, PERU LNG becomes a strategic partner of SUNAT, both at the company level as well as at the level of its business partners, suppliers who comply with all the security controls required by the regulation. For it, the company guaranteed the fulfillment of the following criteria:

• Satisfactory trajectory of compliance with the tax regulations in force.
• Adequate accounting and logistics records system that allows the traceability of foreign trade operations.
• Accredited financial solvency.
• Appropriate level of security in the international trade logistics chain.

For PERU LNG, this certification offers advantages both in the customs operation and in the optimization of time for clearance of goods. Similarly, with this, SUNAT will conduct annual audits to verify compliance of the certified operator, which ensures that the company continuously works its commitments and obligations to keep its security management program alive and up to date.
