The social responsibility actions performed by PERU LNG contribute to strengthening relationships of trust and respect with our neighbors.
All of the social investment projects have been developed in coordination with the communities, with whom a permanent and fluid dialogue was established long before construction of the plant and installation of the gas pipeline were started. These programs are basically aimed at the development of productive capacities and skills.
ALLIN RURAY
Through this program, PERU LNG aims to enable the families of the communities that raise alpacas to market the fiber with added value and improve their financial income by using appropriate technologies for processing and transformation.
The first step has been the installation of fiber processing plants in each locality where the alpaca fiber is processed and washed, which are managed by community enterprises.
At Allin Ruray, we seek to encourage and promote the talent that exists in the Andean communities. We remain committed to offering alpaca breeder families an opportunity to access new markets and achieve higher incomes in a sustainable manner for the annexes of Minas Corral, Huayraccasa, and Cayramayo in the community of Paccha, district of Vinchos and the villages of Paria and Picchahuasi in the district of Pilpichaca, located in the department of Huancavelica.
Thanks to the quality of their products, associated in cooperatives and with the guidance and support of PERU LNG and the NGO Prosynergy, the alpaqueros (alpaca breeders) of the high Andean areas of Ayacucho and Huancavelica have achieved the fact that their products are now appreciated and sold at the permanent stand of Eco Alpaca in LARCOMAR; a marketing system that has allowed their income to increase by 230%.

HEALTHY AND RESILIENT MEAL CENTERS
This program seeks to improve the access to food for people of limited means.
Meal centers are currently important agents of change for each of the communities where they operate. Meal centers are self-managed and offer excellent food in terms of health and nutrition.
Each of the meal centers has a specific area where biogardens have been implemented. The members of the meal centers plant vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes, chard, beets, onions, radishes, and other organic products that are then used to prepare the meals.

JUNTOS POR LA REDUCCIÓN DE LA ANEMIA (“TOGETHER FOR THE REDUCTION OF ANEMIA”)
Anemia affects the health and development of children and marks cycles of disadvantage and inequality in society that are irrecoverable. In the context of this reality, PERU LNG, in alliance with Cáritas del Perú, is carrying out the program "Together for the reduction of anemia" in the community of Cayramayo, Ayacucho.
The program is aimed at reducing anemia in 796 kindergarten and primary school students in 18 schools and involves the development of actions to control hemoglobin levels, deworming of children and their immediate families, and the provision of ferrous sulfate to students directly in the classrooms by previously trained teachers.
As part of the program, training in anemia control and prevention is also provided to teachers, parents, and local authorities. In order to promote the sustainability of the program, it is implemented in coordination with the Local Education Management Unit (UGEL, by its Spanish initials) and the Regional Health Bureau (DIRESA, by its Spanish initials). The aim of these activities is to improve the capacity of teachers and parents to prevent and treat anemia.
