Social and environmental responsibility programs won two of the four prizes in this edition of the Sustainable Development competition.
PERU LNG won first place in the Environmental Management category, in recognition of the work done from the design stage of its maritime terminal to the current phase of operation, in which this infrastructure has become a habitat, refuge and research space for biodiversity.
In the Social Management category, PERU LNG won second place for the Allin Ruray program, which has enabled families in the alpaquero areas of Ayacucho to market value-added fiber and improve their economic income through appropriate technologies for processing and transformation.
The National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy, within the framework of promoting good social and environmental practices, each year calls on its associates to participate in the “Sustainable Development Award”, by presenting projects implemented that detail their good experiences in environmental and social management, developed as part of a policy of sustainable development of their areas of influence.
