More than 800 people, including public officials, teachers and school directors, higher education students, youths and parents, attended the conference on “How to treat depression in children and adolescents”, organized by PERU LNG in Huamanga, Chincha and Cañete.
The lecture, delivered by the renowned psychologist and psychoanalyst, Jorge Bruce, is part of the series of conferences that the company has been holding since eight years ago to address issues that have a direct impact on the improvement of the style and the quality of life of families.
“Building trust, playing with them, talking about feelings and experiences and showing them our affection, are some of the factors that contribute to overcome depression in children and adolescents. In addition, expressing our support and unconditional love will allow resilience to develop among children and adolescents suffering from depression; i.e. the ability to develop positively despite adversities”, were some of the recommendations given by the specialist.
The conferences were disseminated by the major media in every city, highlighting the company’s initiative, given that there is a great need among local families to obtain guidance on mental health issues.
